Preparations for Meeting of Council of CIS Heads of Government Discussed in Minsk

On 30 May, the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk hosted a regular meeting of the Council of the Permanent Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth. The meeting focused on the preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government to be held on 8 June in Sochi.

Representative of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat at the CIS Executive Committee Igor Borovko represented the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly at the event.

The agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government features 15 issues, including the signing of the Agreement on Free Trade in Services, Incorporation, Activities and Investments, agreements on cooperation in the exchange of radiation monitoring data and on the documentation of persons subject to forced expulsion, as well the adoption of the Concept of Industrial Cooperation Development and the Set of Measures for its Implementation until 2030.

The permanent plenipotentiary representatives discussed proposals for the draft agendas of the regular meetings of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers and the Council of the CIS Heads of State to be held in autumn in Bishkek.

The next meeting of the Council of the Permanent Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth is scheduled for 13 June.
