IPA CIS Council Chairperson Valentina Matvienko visited Boris Eifman Dance Academy in St. Petersburg

The Academy was opened on 2 September. It is an educational institution that combines mandatory school education with basic vocational training.

Valentina Matvienko noted that the Academy was designed to select the best and the brightest. “The design cares for every detail thus providing a unique training environment”, she said.

On the initiative of the Federation Council, the IPA CIS drafted a number of culture-related model acts on: “Promotion of Culture”, “Promotion of Languages”, “Protection of Copyrights”, “Artists and Artistic Unions, “Museums and Museum Collections”, “Theaters and Show Business”, Model Library Code for Member Nations of the CIS, and “Framework Internet Regulation”.
