Resolution of Conference “Russian Language as a Basis for Integration Dialogue in the CIS” Published

A final document of the international conference “Russian Language as a Basis for Integration Dialogue in the CIS”, held on 26-27 October in Saint-Petersburg, was published.

Suggestions of representatives of legislative and executive authorities of the CIS Member Nations, relevant institutions of culture, science and education, international organizations, business and academic communities are reflected in the document. More than 400 people participated in the event.

The participants of the conference prepared more than 60 proposals based on the results of the discussions of 10 roundtables.

Taking into account the recommendations, organizers, partners and participants of the conference will continue to strengthen multilateral cooperation to promote and support Russian language as the most important instrument of interethnic communication as well as a mean of development of education, science, international political dialogue and humanitarian cooperation, improvement and harmonization of legislation, a basis for mutual enrichment of the cultures of the peoples of the CIS countries and others.

The Conference “Russian Language as a Basis for Integration Dialogue in the CIS” took place at the headquarters of the IPA CIS and other venues of the co-organizers within the Year of the Russian Language as the language of Interethnic communication in the CIS.
