IPA CIS International Observers Laid Wreaths and Flowers at Eternity Memorial Complex in Chisinau

The CIS MPs and the representatives of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, who monitored the elections of the President of the Republic of Moldova, laid wreaths and flowers at the Eternity Memorial Complex in Chisinau.

During the Great Periotic War, Moldova lost a quarter of the population. Almost 50,000 residents were taken to Germany. The republic gave the USSR more than 400,000 soldiers and officers. About 307,000 returned home. The Moldovan natives glorified themselves with heroic deeds in many battles.

Laying flowers at memorials dedicated to the common Victory is a tradition followed by the MPs in every CIS country.
