IPA CIS Invited to Observe Elections to Russia’s State Duma

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko has received a letter from Chair of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin.
The Speaker invited representatives of the Interparliamentary Assembly to participate in the international observation of the elections to the State Duma - the lower house of the Russian parliament. The IPA CIS observers have been monitoring elections in the Russian Federation since 1999.
The voting will take place from 18 to 20 September 2026.
