IPA CIS Observers Invited to Monitor Presidential Elections in Republic of Belarus

The National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus invited the international observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly to participate in the monitoring of preparation and holding the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus scheduled for 9 August 2020.
The Member Parliaments of the IPA CIS are expected to nominate the representatives to the observer team, which will go to Minsk in order to monitor the presidential elections. The international observers will visit polling stations, assess their equipment with information materials, and perform monitoring of voting and tabulation processes.
The accreditation of the international observers will be carried out by the Central Commission of the Republic of Belarus on Elections and Holding Republican Referenda until 6 August 2020.
