IPA CIS Observers Met with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic

The IPA CIS international observers at the presidential and parliamentary elections in the Republic of Serbia met with President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade.

Aleksandar Vucic thanked the IPA CIS observers for their interest in the electoral processes in the Republic of Serbia and noted that the current election campaign was calm and constructive.

First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Committee on Science, Education and Culture Dmitriy Vasilenko spoke about the Team composition and the work of observers during the short-term observation.

Member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Committee on Foreign Affairs Elena Afanasyeva noted the professionalism of the IPA CIS observers and the serious assistance provided by expert group of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD).

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy told about the 15-year experience of monitoring elections and referendums in Serbia by the IPA CIS observers. He noted that the experience and knowledge gained during the observation was used in the legislative activity of the Assembly.
