IPA CIS Observers Met with Talant Mamytov

As a part of the monitoring of the referendum on the draft law on the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the IPA CIS international observers met with Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Talant Mamytov.

Talant Mamytov expressed gratitude to the IPA CIS observers for coming to Kyrgyzstan and noted that the referendum logically continued the political process, which had started on 10 January 2021 with the elections of the President.

Team Coordinator, Chair of the Committee of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on Ensuring Constitutional Principles, Human and Civil Rights and Freedoms and the Rule of Law, Member of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues Dilshod Rahmon told the head of the Jogorku Kenesh about the composition of the Observer Team and informed on the working schedule of the observers and monitoring methods. He also handed over the Conclusion of the Team on the long-term monitoring of the referendum in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Secretary General – Head of the Secretariat of the Council of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Dmitriy Kobitskiy and other Team members also participated in the meeting.
