Role of Local Government Discussed at a Relevant Conference

On 23 September, the International Research and Practice Conference “The Role of Local Government in the Upbringing and Education of Youth: the Experience of the CIS Countries” took place in the Republic of Kazakhstan in a mixed format.

The Conference brought together more than 200 participants from the Commonwealth countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The event was co-organized by the Akimat of the Zhetysu region, the Zhetysu Regional Branch of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Public Association “Center for Sustainable Development “Ochaq”, the Eurasian Law Academy named after D.A. Kunaev and the International Informatization Academy.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – IPA CIS IIMDD Director Ivan Mushket addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

The participants of the Conference discussed the development of local governments in the process of sustainable development of Kazakhstan.
