Sergei Rachkov Appointed Coordinator of IPA CIS Observer Mission at Referendum in Uzbekistan

By order of Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, Chair of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for Foreign Affairs and National Security Sergei Rachkov has been appointed coordinator of the IPA CIS Observer Mission at the referendum on the draft Constitutional Law on the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Now the IPA CIS Observer Mission is being formed from the representatives of the IPA CIS MPs, the IPA CIS officials and the IPA CIS IIMDD experts.

THE IPA CIS Observer Mission will monitor the constitutional referendum at the invitation of the Head of the CEC of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zainiddin Nizamkhodzhayev.

The referendum will be held in Uzbekistan on 30 April.
