Work with Youth to Be One of Key Directions of IPA CIS IIMDD Baku Office in 2023

On 14 February, a meeting was held to draw the outcomes of the work of the Baku office of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) in 2022. New head of the office Ramin Rzayev outlined the objectives for the coming year that include updating academic research and increase participation in events held by the Office.

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Plenipotentiary Representative of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Aydin Jafarov noted successful implementation of Baku office work plan for 2022 and launch of the plan for 2023.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the IPA CIS IIMDD Ivan Mushket informed the participants that the IPA CIS Council Secretariat was developing the Provisions on International Student Competition on Social Sciences, and had already developed the education course “International Observation of Elections and Referenda”. He suggested the Office should promote the implementation of this course in the curricula of Azerbaijani universities.

Ramin Rzayev presented a report on work results and told about interaction with partners from the Baku Main Department of Youth and Sport, Baku City Education Department and election administration bodies.

Deputy Director of IPA CIS IIMDD Elena Eremenko, IIMDD expert, professor of St. Petersburg State University Stanislav Tkachenko, Head of the Department on the IIMDD IPA CIS Offices Management Alexander Ksendzov and head of the Analytical Department Roman Amburtsev also participated in the meeting.
