Ekaterina Goloulina Takes Part in Roundtable on International Cooperation for Regional Development

The roundtable «International Cooperation for Regional Development» devoted to the issues of international regional development and strategic spatial planning based on the experience of the CIS and other countries was held in St. Petersburg within the 18th All-Russian Forum “Strategic Planning in Regions and Cities of Russia”.

The roundtable brought together the leading experts from Germany, Finland, Greece, Belgium, Romania, African and the CIS countries, as well as the representatives of international and inter-parliamentary organizations. They shared best practices and presented the results of their research in the field of regional development.

The meeting also focused on the quality of life issues. The speakers discussed the factors that determined the daily life comfort and the ways to increase citizens' satisfaction with living conditions in terms of ecology, economics, social and civic activity and international cooperation.

Acting Director of the IIMDD IPA CIS Ekaterina Goloulina represented the IPA CIS Council Secretariat at the event and made a presentation “Elections and Referenda as a Means to Improve the Quality of Life in Community”.
