Elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament begin in Kazakhstan

Since early morning IPA CIS observers started visits to polling stations across Kazakhstan.

Valekh Akleskerov Coordinator of the Observer Team, Vice-Speaker of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan We visited a polling station early in the morning today to check its preparedness status, and to note the high level of preparation. We were pleased to see people lining to the doors of the station before it opened, which speaks of the high voter turnover at today's elections. I hope that the elections will play out well, as it, to my pleasure, involves 6 political parties – the ruling one and the opposing parties. Whoever voters choose, they deserve it.

According to IIMDD IPA CIS Director Andrey Baranov, the IPA CIS observer Team is the only one to observe polling stations beyond Kazakhstan.
