IIMDD IPA CIS office in Baku hosts seminar

The seminar was attended by members of community groups on Education, Well-Being and Development, on Support of Developing Creative Civil Society, academia and students enrolled in Local and Municipal Government Program, and staff members of IIMDD IPA CIS. Elman Imamaliev, Head, IIMDD IPA CIS Baku office, welcomed the participants and introduced the research in this field done by his office.

The seminar included the following presentations:

• Municipal Self-Governance Framework;
• Local Governance: International Practices;
• Relations Related to Municipal Authorities
• Milli Mejlis and the Ministry of Justice: Mutual Partnership in Local Governance.

The participants also focused on current challenges of municipalities and future prospects, budgeting and independence of municipalities.
