IPA CIS international observers carry on their work in the Republic of Belarus

IPA CIS observers carry on monitoring the parliamentary election to the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. On 19 August 2016, they had a meeting with Chairperson of the Vitebsk Precinct Electoral Commission Dmitriy Khoma. They made certain that the recent changes in the national electoral legislation are put into practice and are used by electoral commissions, which allowed to build an effective system for analyzing applications, complaints and requests from candidates, observers and voters.

The observers visited precinct electoral commissions № 17, 18 and 19, where they were provided with all the information about different training programmes for commission members.

On the example of precinct electoral commission № 21 the observers also made certain that the commissions effectively interact with law enforcement bodies and institutions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which ensures security on the election day.
