IPA CIS nominates observers at the elections in Kazakhstan

On 29 September, the IPA CIS observer team will arrive in Kazakhstan to monitor the election campaign and the course of the elections to the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.

The Team Leader is Farhod Rahimov, Member of the Majlisi Milli Committee on Internal Engagement, Outreach and Interparliamentary Ties. The observer team includes IPA CIS Secretary General Alexey Sergeev, MPs from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, IPA IIMDP experts, IPA CIS Secretariat officials.

The observers will monitor pre-election activities. On the Election Day of 1 October, they will monitor 6 maslikhats (constituencies) electing 16 Members of the Senate.
