IPA CIS observers begin long-term monitoring of early parliamentary elections in the Republic of Armenia

IPA CIS observers from among the IPA CIS Secretariat Staff within the framework of the long-term monitoring of early parliamentary elections in the Republic of Armenia began their mission with a review of its preparation.

On 26 November a meeting of Deputy Director of the IIMDD IPA CIS Sergei Karavaev and Head of the IIMDD IPA CIS expert group Roman Amburtsev with Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mukuchyan took place in Yerevan.

The observers held working meetings with representatives of the campaign offices of “My Step” bloc and political party “Sasna Tsrer”, who provided their assessment of the electoral campaign and referred to the plans on hosting the campaign, which had had started on that day in Armenia.

Besides, the observers held a meeting with Head of the Office of the CIS Observers Team Evgeniy Sloboda, during which the parties coordinated joint work on the Election Day.
