IPA CIS observers monitor elections of a leader of Gagauzia

21 March, on the eve of the Election Day, the members of the delegation, including Andrey Baranov, Director of IIMDP, met with the candidates. The candidates spoke about the pre-election campaign and their agendas and offered opinions on the work of election authorities and contenders.

The team also discussed changes in the election law with Chair of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia and visited the local CEC. Save for some minor issues, the team found that the elections were managed in a due manner.
