IPA CIS observers monitored early parliamentary elections in Serbia

SecGen Peter Skundric of the Serbian Socialist party met with the IPA CIS observers at the HQ. He informed the observers on the election activities of the Party and took questions. The delegation also met with the leadership of the Serbian Progressive Party Zoran Babic and of the Democratic Party of Serbia Milos Aligrudic who expressed a positive evaluation of the progress of elections.

On 15 March the delegation met with the DC CEC Tamara Stoycevic who extensively briefed the guests on the course of the election campaign. The IPA CIS observer team also had meetings with the observer mission from PECE, PA OSCE and ODIHR OSCE.

At the end of the observation mandate, the team issued a statement saying that the elections conformed to effective national laws and norms of international law.
