Kishinev hosts international symposium

IIMDD IPA CIS represented by the management of Moldovan and Ukrainian offices together with the Institute on Legal and Political Research, Moldova Association of Sociologists and Demographers and the Moldovan CEC hosted the international symposium Democratic Processes in the Republic of Moldova: Realities, Trends, and Prospecrs in Kishinev.
The high-level participants underscored the relevance of democratization for the Republic of Moldova which began after it became independent. Suppored by surveys which spoke of the high public interest in the issue, the IIMDD IPA CIS resolved to make a dedicated research of democratization processes in Moldova. The result of the research will be presented at the Conference.
The Conference featured four reports: Social Aspects of Building Democratic Processes in Moldova, Trends of Political Stratification in Moldova, Making Moldovan Political System Democratic: the European Choice, Media Coverage of Democratization Processes in Moldova.
