Marietta Tidia thanked the IPA CIS observation team for allocating time for the meeting on the election day. For us it is important to share opinions about the course of the elections. They are preliminary, but tomorrow we intend to have ready a public version. In the meantime, it is important to share sources and assessments. The IPA CIS observation team leader Andrey Naumovich thanked the colleagues for the meeting and for a frank exchange in a parliamentary setting. IPA CIS IIMDD Director Andrey Baranov suggested exploring a possibility of a joint conference to discuss observation practices with a view to a possible legally binding international instrument regulating the rules of election monitoring.
