President of the Kyrghyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev met with the heads of missions of international observers at the presidential elections

The meeting brought together representatives of missions of observers from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the European Parliament, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking States and the Commonwealth of Independent States, including Head of the CIS Observer Mission, CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev and Coordinator of the IPA CIS Observer Team, Chairman of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Defense and Security Issues Viktor Zavarzin.

In his speech, President of the Kyrghyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev thanked the international observers for their help during the presidential elections. He stressed that fair elections were the guarantee of peace and stability in the country. “People understand that the elections are honest, and each voice is taken into account. We ensured secrecy and transparency of the ballot”, he said.

Heads of missions of international observers congratulated Almazbek Atambayev and the people of the Kyrghyz Republic on the success of the elections.
