Role of new technologies in elections discussed in the Republic of Kazakhstan

The international conference Role of New Technologies in Elections: Improving Standards, Public Trust, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the CEC of Kazakhstan, took place in Astana.

The event brought together representatives of central electoral bodies, parliaments and international organizations from 17 states. The meeting discussed issues of electoral systems modernization in the context of technological progress, legal and organizational aspects of electoral supported by digital technologies.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, Director of the International Institute of Monitoring Democracy, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage for the IPA CIS Member Nations Dmitriy Gladey and IIMDD IPA CIS Deputy Director Ekaterina Goloulina attended the meeting.
