Meeting of IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues Held in Tavricheskiy Palace

On 23 October 2020, a meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace – the IPA CIS headquarters.
The commission members discussed the draft Model Laws on Reparation of Injury for Crime Victims, on Investment and Trust Banking, on Insurance, on Assessment Activities, on Contract Law (general provisions). The MPs also considered amendments and additions to the Regulations on the IPA CIS Permanent Commission and were informed about the work results in 2019. The meeting participants adopted decisions on draft documents developed to improve the activities of the IPA CIS IIMDD.
The MPs exchanged views on the results of the meeting of the Expert Advisory Board at the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues, held in 2020, and adopted decisions on the proposals developed by the Advisory Board.
The elections of the Chair of the Commission and his deputies were also held at the meeting. Chairman of the Committee of the Majlisi namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on Legislation and Human Rights Emomali Nasriddinzoda was re-elected the Chair of the Commission. Member of the Committee of the Milli Mejlis of the Azerbaijan Republic on Legal Policy and State Building Amina Agazade and Chairperson of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for Legislation and State Administration Sergei Sivets were elected Deputy Chairs.
