Political issues discussed in the IPA CIS

IPA CIS PC on Political Issues and International Cooperation starts its regular session at the Tavricheskiy Palace. The session started off by electing a Chairperson, Chair, Mazhilis Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security, from Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev, and the Bureau. The Commission discussed issues following from the outcome of the international conference Nuclear Security in Todays’ World. Role of Parliamentarians in Disarmament and Non-proliferation held in SPB on 29 November 2013, and of the international seminar on the Evolution of Electoral Law in the CIS held 0n 16-17 December 2013 in Baku.
