Tavricheskiy Palace hosted a dynamic discussion on political issues and international cooperation

The IPA CIS PC on Political Issues and International Cooperation held its ordinary meeting in the Tavricehskiy Palace.

The participants of the meeting discussed issues related to the Parliamentary Conference on Combating International Terrorism, cooperation with the PACE Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy, negotiation process on the settlement of the conflict in Syria and introduced Human Rights: Handbook for Parliamentarians prepared by the IPU and the UNHCR Office. The Commission also considered a number of general issues related to hosting the 14th European Conference of EMBs to be held in St. Petersburg on 15-16 May.

In the margins of the IPA CIS spring session, the IPA CIS PC on Political Issues and International Cooperation held a joint meeting with the PA CE Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy presided by Chair of the IPA CIS PC Maulen Ashimbayev and Mogens Jensen, respectively. PA CE President Pedro Agramunt addressed the meeting with a welcoming statement.

The meeting featured an exchange of opinions on the current political affairs, bi-lateral cooperation, countering financing terrorism and involvement of citizens in terrorist actions.
