The IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Defense and Security adjourns its session

The Tavricheskiy Palace, the headquarters of the IPA CIS, hosted the session of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Defense and Security. The session was attended by IPA CIS MPs, experts, and sponsors of document drafts.
Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Security and Countering Corruption Oleg Denisenko opened the session.
The Commission elected its deputy chairs: Igor Merzalyuk, Deputy Chairperson of the Permanent Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and Eduard Sharmazanov, Deputy Chairperson of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
During the session, the Commission completed its work on drafting the commentary to the model law On State Border.
The Commission members debated numerous model laws, drafts and recommendations and analyzed possible amendments to the Long-Term Plan of Model Law-Making in the Commonwealth of Independent States for 2016-2020.
