EAEU to Use Model Laws and Codes of IPA CIS to Develop Common Labour Market

The III Eurasian Economic Forum took place in Yerevan. The Forum presented Model Laws and Codes developed by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly in the field of employment, migration and social protection of workers.
Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights, Executive Secretary of the IPA CIS Expert Advisory Board on Public Health Evgenia Vladimirova told the session participants about the IPA CIS activities on the formation of a model framework in the field of migration.
Among the most important documents she singled out the Model Labour and Migration Codes adopted by the Assembly in 2020 and 2021.
Evgenia Vladimirova informed that today the Assembly, in close cooperation with relevant international organizations such as the IOM and the WHO, is working on Recommendations on Legislative Support for Labor Migration During the Pandemic, as well as preparing Recommendations on the Establishment of Professional Training Procedures for Workers and Specialists Involved in External Labour Migration, and on the Protection and Social Rehabilitation of Victims of Human Trafficking.
The session participants considered it advisable to use the Model Laws and Codes adopted by the IPA CIS in the field of employment, migration and social protection of workers for further development of the common labour market of the EAEU.
The decision was reflected in the adopted resolution of the Forum.
Representatives of the leadership of the relevant ministries of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as the International Organization for Migration, the World Health Organization, the General Confederation of Trade Unions and others also spoke at the Forum.
