IPA CIS’s Work on Countering Terrorism and Extremism Presented at International Conference

The international research and practice conference “New World Order: Principles of Construction, Prospects, Challenges” is taking place in Moscow.
The topics for discussion include the transformation of the world order, the role of the CIS countries in the new world order, countering the spread of terrorism and extremism ideologies and the role of integration associations in countering these threats.
The participants consider the importance of media discourse in the formation of communicative competences in foreign languages and the influence of information technologies on the political situation in the world.
Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy made a welcoming speech via videoconferencing.
The Head of the Secretariat informed that from the very beginning of the Assembly’s work the issues of countering terrorism and extremism have been submitted for consideration by the IPA CIS Permanent Commissions.
“At present, a Model Law on Public Safety is being finalized. A number of documents are being drafted – a Model Law on Countering the Use of Autonomous and Robotic Systems for Terrorist and Extremist Purposes, Amendments to the Model Law on Countering Terrorism and normative legal acts aimed at combating terrorism and extremism in the Commonwealth states”.
