Dmitriy Kobitskiy met with Head of Representation of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Russia and Belarus

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy met with Head of the Representation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Russia and Belarus Frank Morauer.

The meeting took place at the Tavricheskiy Palace during the Saint-Petersburg Labour Forum, where a representative of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is participating in the events.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy noted that, with the expert support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), a number of model laws have been adopted, including on Assistance and Regulation of International Aid in Emergency Situations and on Equal Access to Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment of HIV Infection in CIS Countries. Collaborative work continues, particularly on the draft model law of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly on National Red Cross and/or Red Crescent Societies.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy spoke about important events that will mark the upcoming spring session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of CIS and invited Frank Morauer to participate in it. Frank Morauer expressed readiness to continue providing expert support for the Assembly's legislative work in the humanitarian field.

The parties discussed the work on the draft of a new version of the Concept of a Common Migration Space for CIS countries and other areas of cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of CIS Alexey Dolzhikov, and Secretary of the Permanent Commission of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the CIS on Social Policy and Human Rights Evgenia Vladimirova.
