Preparations for IV Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” Discussed in Moscow

On 29 January, under the leadership of Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Inna Svyatenko, a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation of the IV International Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” was held.

According to the Deputy Speaker, the synergy of efforts of the Federation Council and the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly played a key role in expanding the boundaries of the forum both within the country and among the Commonwealth countries.

The Deputy Speaker believes that it is necessary to continue working on the formation of the fundamental agenda and take into account the successful experience of the forum in 2024.

She also emphasized that interaction in the field of fashion could play an important role in strengthening international cooperation.

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy spoke about the main results of the forum. He noted the great interest to the project shown by representatives of light industry, authorities, creative industries and specialized educational organizations.

The Secretary General said that the forum was attended by over 1600 participants from more than 60 regions of Russia and other countries. The format and content of the forum were also highly appreciated.

He called the signing of 18 agreements and memorandums between industry associations and enterprises of the CIS countries an important outcome of the forum.

Speaking about the Forum 2025, the Head of the Secretariat proposed to retain six thematic areas in the architecture of the program and to hold a “youth day”.

Director General of the Russian Export Center Veronika Nikishina proposed to include shows of collections of Russian designers in the program of “Made in Russia” festivals and to organize field events of the forum “Commonwealth of Fashion”.
