Slogan of XI Nevsky International Ecological Congress Approved

“Planet Earth: Living in Harmony with Nature” – this is the motto under which the XI Nevsky International Ecological Congress will be held on 22-23 May 2025 at the headquarters of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS.
The program of the forum will be devoted to topical issues of the environmental agenda, including policy in the field of environmental security, improvement and harmonization of environmental legislation and others.
Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Co-Chairperson of the Congress Organizing Committee Valentina Matvienko noted that the issues of effective management of natural resources and environmental protection were among the key national priorities of Russia. “The Congress platform provides an opportunity to share with colleagues from other countries the experience in terms of environmental legislation, elimination of accumulated damage. Many of the projects being implemented in the field of ecology “grew” precisely from the recommendations of the Nevsky Congress. This is the important practical meaning of our work,” - said Valentina Matvienko.
The highlight of the XI Nevsky International Ecological Congress will be the plenary session “Ecology of the New Reality: Challenges and Opportunities”.
The XI Nevsky International Ecological Congress will be attended by representatives of government authorities, business circles, heads of companies interested in implementing environmentally friendly technologies and sustainable business practices, environmental activists and experts, and scientists working on climate change, biodiversity conservation, development of new technologies and other aspects of environmental science.
The co-organizers of the XI Nevsky International Ecological Congress are the Government of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, as well as the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States. The event is operated by the Roscongress Foundation.
