Alexey Sergeev IPA CIS Secretary General Booming motorization caused the emergence of new challenges such as recycling of traffic-related waste. The IPA CIS responded with Recommendations on the Improvement of Legal Support of Vehicle Utilization in the CIS Member States. They include direct measures to develop vehicle recycling in the CIS and facilitate harmonization of legislation across the Commonwealth.
In April 2014 the IPA CIS PC on Defense and Security initiated work on a draft law Road Safety. This effort will be continued at a regular session in October. The importance of this model law is unanimously acknowledged.
