Cultural Dialogue “One Hundred Thoughts of Chingiz Aitmatov” Takes Place in Tavricheskiy Palace

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in St. Petersburg Taalaibek Abdiev, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation Rustam Sheripbaev, Chairman of «Kyrgyz Union Saint-Petersburg» Asel Osmonalieva participated in the event

Nurbek Satvaldiev opened the meeting and conveyed greetings from Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Dastanbek Dzhumabekov and Secretary General – Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Dmitriy Kobitskiy. Furthermore, Nurbek Satvaldiev told the participants about the Chingiz Aitmatov Prize, established by the IPA CIS. The national poet of Tajikistan, playwright, screenwriter, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan in Literature Muhammad Goib won the award in 2019.

During the meeting, Member of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security Kanybek Imanaliev commended in his video message the IPA CIS and Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko for supporting the establishment of the Chingiz Aitmatov Prize.
