Minsk hosted the meeting of the Council of Permanent Representatives

The regular meeting of the Council convened permanent plenipotentiary representatives of member nations of the Commonwealth, representative of the Executive Committee of the CIS, and the representatives of the Economic Court of the CIS.

Permanent plenipotentiary representatives set draft agendas for this autumn meetings of the supreme bodies of the CIS. The draft documents devoted to the landmark events – the 70th anniversary of the UN and the 30th anniversary of Chernobyl accident will be introduced to the Council of the CIS Heads of State.

Some of the documents are to be preliminary discussed at the meeting of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers.

On 30 October Dushanbe will host the meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government. The draft agenda includes the wide range of issues of further cooperation in economic field.

The Council of permanent representatives also agreed on the nominee of the First Deputy Chairperson of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of the CIS Vladimir Garkun as the Head of the CIS Observer Mission for the upcoming elections to Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The next regular meeting of the Council is scheduled for 22 September.
