Multilateral agreement on foreign labor organization is being developed in the CIS

On 21-22 March 2019, the experts reviewed the draft Agreement on Organized Recruitment of Citizens for Temporary Employment in a Different CIS state at the meeting of the working group at the CIS Executive Committee office in Minsk.

The meeting brought together representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee. Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States was represented by Secretary of the IPA CIS PC on Social Policy and Human Rights Evgenia Vladimirova.

The meeting participants heard information about the practice of cooperation in organized recruitment, presented by speakers from the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Secretary of the IPA CIS PC on Social Policy and Human Rights Evgenia Vladimirova reported on the model agreements adopted by the Assembly in the field of organized recruitment of migrant workers.

The draft Agreement, finalized and unanimously agreed by the expert group, was submitted to the Commonwealth States for consideration.
