Yuriy Osipov met with WHO Regional Director for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab

IPA CIS Council Secretary General Yuriy Osipov met with the WHO Regional Director for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab on the margins of the IPA CIS autumn session.

The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly works on a wide range of topics related to the protection of human rights and health care since its establishment, - noted the IPA CIS Council SG.

In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Regional Office for Europe of the World Health Organization, the parties cooperate in several directions. The organization also focus joint efforts on implementing the CIS Strategy for People's Health.

In addition, IPA CIS and WHO/Europe are planning to co-host the event in the framework of the WHO Healthy Cities Program, as well as the meeting of the IPA CIS PCs in spring 2019.
