A regular meeting of the working group on the preparation of the Third International Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” took place today. The event will be held on 19-20 November 2024 at the headquarters of the IPA CIS - the Tavricheskiy Palace.

The working group includes representatives of executive and legislative authorities, specialized associations, the manufacturing sector, academia and business communities from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

This year business program includes traditional tracks: economics, production, creative industries, human resources, cultural traditions. The new track of the third forum is dedicated to beauty and health.

At the suggestion of the working group members, a roundtable “Fashion Tourism” has been added to the business program.

Traditionally, an exchange of business contacts will operate on the sidelines of the forum.

The Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” brings together representatives of the light and the creative industry, relevant ministries and departments, professional associations, legislators and experts.

The event was held for the first time in 2022 and aroused great interest among industry representatives. In 2023, the scale of the forum, organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, as well as the Eurasian Women’s Forum, increased.

Last year, more than 1,000 people participated in the forum. The main topics for discussion were the prospects for the development of the light industry in the region in an era of global change, opportunities for international cooperation, and issues of raw materials supply.

Two fashion shows were held within the framework of the forum: promising and well-known designers from different regions of Russia, as well as from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan presented their collections.
