Dmitriy Kobitskiy Spoke about IPA CIS Plans for 2023 in Interview with International Television Company “Mir”

Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy was interviewed by the Mir TV channel.  He summed up the results of the year 2022 and shared information on parliamentary events scheduled for 2023.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy noted that in the anniversary year for the IPA CIS, the main events were held in a retreat format. The ceremonial meeting of the IPA CIS Council dedicated to the 30^th anniversary of the organization was held at the House of Friendship in Almaty in Kazakhstan, where the Agreement on the establishment of the Assembly was signed, and the autumn session was organized for the first time in Uzbekistan, at the Great Silk Road Congress Center in Samarkand.

According to the Secretary General, at the invitation of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, the autumn session of 2023 is scheduled to be held in Bishkek. In addition, it is planned to organize a meeting of the IPA CIS Budget Oversight Commission in Kyrgyzstan. The meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology is to be held in the capital of Belarus.

In the coming year, the International Cultural and Educational Forum “Children of the Commonwealth” will be held in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy also announced the holding of the X Nevsky International Ecological Congress and a major conference dedicated to the Year of the Russian Language as a Language of Interethnic Communication. In addition, the Assembly will hold events dedicated to the 95^th anniversary of the birth of Chingiz Aitmatov.
