“Public Recognition” Award Presented at Third Eurasian Women’s Forum

Today, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko presented the “Public Recognition” award. The award ceremony was held within the framework of the Third Eurasian Women’s Forum in the Tavricheskiy Palace. The event was hosted by the ballet dancer, rector of the Vaganova Ballet Academy Nikolai Tsiskaridze and TV presenter Daria Zlatopolskaya.
The Public Recognition Prize is awarded to bright and brave women for their contribution to sustainable development, the struggle for peace, for active charitable and social activities.
Today, among the number of laureates there were:
- Inna Dolzhikova – Head of the Laboratory of the State Collection of Viruses at the Nikolai Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, which was responsible for preclinical studies of the protective efficacy of the Sputnik V vaccine;
- Midori Yamada, who has been promoting Japanese culture and art in Russia and the CIS countries for over 30 years, organizes exhibitions, master classes, and educational programs;
- Antonina Vitkovskaya – Head of the “Novaya Zarya – Nouvelle Etoile” factory;
- Fanny Carolina Salinas Fernandez – President of the Central American Parliament (PARLASEN);
- Svetlana Romashina – an outstanding Russian athlete performing in synchronized swimming;
- Wanda Gagiano – Honorary President of the Free State Women's Agricultural Union, Republic of South Africa;
- Maryana Lysenko – chief physician of the Moscow City Clinical Hospital No. 52, who headed the development of treatment regimens for COVID-19 patients;
- Martina Rogato – an Italian social activist, head of the official G20 engagement group on gender equality;
- Hibla Gerzmava – Abkhazian-Russian opera singer.
