TRAVEL HUB “Commonwealth” International Tourism Forum to be Held in Dushanbe on 19-20 October

The 4th Forum Travel Hub “Commonwealth” will be held for the first time in an offsite format. The event will bring together representatives of relevant agencies, parliaments, the business community, heads of associations and experts from the CIS countries.
The organisers are the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Forum will be attended by: Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy; Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Economic Affairs Nematullo Hikmatullozoda; Chair of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Kamoliddin Muminzod; Chair of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport, Member of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Erkin Zakhidov; Vice President of the Russian Hotel Association, Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Alexey Musakin, President of UTair – Passenger Airlines Oleg Semenov, representatives of the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts, International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly” and others.
The theme of the plenary session will be “CIS tourism in the conditions of global turbulence: challenges and opportunities”.
Two strategic sessions are planned:
- Development of mountain tourism in the Eurasian space;
- Staffing of the hospitality industry of the CIS countries as a guarantee of improving the quality of hotel services.
The Forum will discuss trends and innovations in the hotel business, improvement of legislation in the tourism sector, digital transformation of the hospitality market, growth of attractiveness of tourism products of the Commonwealth countries.
On 18 October, in Dushanbe also there will be a meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport, where MPs of the Commonwealth of Independent States will discuss the key topics of the Forum.
