TV-Channels Cover International Day of Parliamentarism and Role of Parliamentary Diplomacy

On 30 June, the “Saint-Petersburg” TV-channel released a story on the parliamentarians’ holiday and their joint activities within the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, including in the field of monitoring of electoral rights observance in the CIS and beyond.

The journalists also noted the IPA CIS role in protecting historical truth of the Second World War: the CIS MPs condemn the distortion of the causes and course of the war, the revision of its outcomes, the attempts to glorify fascism and its accomplices. The IPA CIS Council called the parliaments, governments and international organizations to support the initiative to acknowledge the victory over Nazism in the Second World War as the humanity’s world heritage, and the monuments to those who fought Nazism – as the humanity’s world memorial.

Journalists of the “Vmeste-RF” TV-channel covered the background of the holiday.
