Elections to Upper House of Parliament Take Place in Republic of Kazakhstan

The elections of 17 members of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan are held today in all regions of the country, as well as in Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent.

According to the press-service of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the members of the Senate will be elected by secret ballot by the electors from among maslikhats MPs.

46 candidates compete for 17 seats in the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The list of electors includes 3069 maslikhat MPs.
