IPA CIS Observers to Monitor Constitutional Referendum in Kazakhstan

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko has received a letter from Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev.
The head of Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry invited representatives of the IPA CIS to take part in international observation of the upcoming referendum on the adoption of a new Constitution.
“Kazakhstan will make every necessary effort to ensure that the referendum is conducted transparently and in accordance with national legislation and international obligations,” the letter says.
The vote is scheduled for 15 March 2026.
