Republic of Tajikistan Adopted New Tax Code

Today, a meeting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan of the fifth convocation took place headed by Speaker of the Chamber Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda. During the meeting, the MPs discussed and adopted the revised draft Tax Code of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The document aims to improve tax administration, prevent tax evasion, promote developing of the country’s economy, as well as improve the quality of life of the population.

According to the press-service of the chamber, the project, in particular, reduces the number of taxes from 10 to 7. Some taxes are combined, such as the vehicle tax and the real estate tax.
