Upper House of Parliament of Tajikistan Improves Legislation on Protection of Rights of Minors

The 11^th session of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan adopted a number of legislative acts, including those on the protection of the rights and freedoms of minors.

MPs approved amendments to the Criminal and Labor Codes, as well as to the Laws on Education and on Freedom of Conscience and Religious Associations. The adopted changes are based on the assignment of Speaker of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustami Emomali to strengthen the liability for crimes against the sexual freedom and sexual integrity of minors.
