Belarus and Kyrgyz Republic celebrate 101st anniversary of the October Revolution

The Republic of Belarus celebrates the Day of October Revolution on 7 November, and the Kyrgyz Republic – the Day of the Great October Socialist Revolution. The holiday is celebrated at the state level in these countries.

On 7 November (25 October) 1917 the October Revolution broke out. On that day, the uprising in Petrograd overthrew the Provisional Government and the proclamation “To the Citizens of Russia” was made public. The power was taken over by the War Revolutionary Committee.
