Bust of Tilekmat Zhylkyaiadar expanded the collection of the IPA CIS

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev opened the ceremony.

The participants stressed the outstanding personality of Tilekmat Zhylkyaiadarm, his extraordinary public-speaking and diplomatic skills which helped to settle many controversies between northern Kyrgyz tribes, disputes between Kyrgyz manaps, Kazakh sultans and tribes’ leaders. According to the participants, Tilekmat Zhylkyaiadarm served as an example of wisdom and justice; his role in the life of Kyrgyz people can hardly be overestimated.

The Atrium of the Tavricheskiy Palace already has a small collection of busts. The first bust – that of the founder of the Azerbaijan parliamentarism, MP of the First State Duma of the Russian Empire of 1906 Alimardan bek Topchibashev – was presented to the IPA CIS in 2014. It was followed by the bust of Speaker of the First State Duma of the Russian Empire Sergey Muromtsev which was opened in 2015. In 2016 the bust of MP of the First State Duma of the Russian Empire from the Semipalatinsk region Alikhan Bukeikhanov expanded the collection. In 2017 during the 25th anniversary celebration the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia the bust of Member of the State Duma of the Russian Empire Mikael Papadzhanyan was handed over to the Assembly.
