Kazakhstan celebrates Independence Day

The holiday brings two days-off for the people of Kazakhstan. The celebration program features over 30 festive events, including gala concerts, festivals, and a major fireworks show.
The Independence Day has been celebrated since 16 December 1991 when the Supreme Soviet of Kazakhstan adopted the Declaration on National Sovereignty.
