Moldova celebrates its Independence Day

On 27 August, the Republic of Moldova celebrates its Independance Day.
In 1991, during the Great National Assembly in Chisinau, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova adopted the Declaration of Independence.
The Declaration stated Moldova to be a sovereign and independent state, that can determine its present and future in pursuance of its people’s ideas and aspirations.
